As we speak, Fox News is broadcasting a long segment about Obama's supposed comment about the "tragedy" that the Supreme Court hadn't redistributed wealth. As usual, they're taking his comment out of context.
Here are just two of the things that official Republican National Committee groups have sent out to their members:
Inside there was a picture of Barack Obama with the caption: Barack Obama. Not who you think he is.
Then there was this lovely item by the Chaffey Community Republican Women:
When people began yelling racial epithets and calling for Obama's death during McCain/Palin rallies, it took McCain four days to respond. This, in my mind, represents a tacit approval. Even my husband, diehard Republican that he is, responded to one of his mother's anti-Obama spam e-mails with a 'check your facts' message.
Despite Cindy McCain's comments that the Dems are running the most slanderous and mean-spirited campaigns in history, I have yet to see ANYTHING in my inbox from any of my liberal friends that takes a jab at McCain OR Palin on a personal level. Now, to be fair, they haven't had to: McCain and Palin seem pretty good at hanging themselves professionally. But the attacks that I've seen from McCain and his people are downright shameful.
This campaign gave McCain the chance to behave like the honorable serviceman he claims to be. However, it's revealed him to be small, desperate and narrow-minded.
Frankly, it's disgusting.
